Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!

My name is Randy Villanueva, the PTA President for the 2022-2023 school year. First of all, I would like to welcome all the new and returning families to the Turner community. I am excited to be in this role as we transition back to full in-person learning and (hopefully) full capacity parent volunteers. In the 10 years I’ve been here, it’s evident the school’s success has been directly correlated to parent involvementalongside with the highly trained, distinguished staff. PTA mobilizes volunteers in all PTA-sponsored
programs and fundraisers and helps facilitate volunteer recruitment for school-wide non-PTA sponsored events. Our kids’ education and elementary school experience is enhanced through this strong parent and teacher/staff collaboration. But to maintain support for our kids, we need parent/guardian as much as teacher involvement.

PTA serves as a vessel to help new and returning families to become involved. There is NO minimum time commitment and volunteer opportunities range from single episode tasks to highly involved in active PTA committees. As a full-time worker, I understand non-school priorities take precedence but I also understand my children’s success is correlated to my involvement and simply being “present”. The first step to find out how you can help is to BECOME A MEMBER. Clink on the following link or cut-and-
paste into your browser:

Members will be updated with the latest volunteer opportunities and will be advocates to how every fundraising dollar is spent. If you have any questions or need further insight on PTA involvement, please contact me (mtespres@gmail.com). I look forward to meeting you!

Sincerely,
Randy Villanueva
MTEPTA President
