International Week is off to a wonderful start! Mrs. Linda Wright, Turner's favorite storyteller, shared vivid stories from Africa and Cuba, and a favorite tale about how the Sun and Moon ended up in the sky.
Mrs. Lisa Darnell Saari led a fun baking class and the kids had a great time making italian sprinkle cookies
Tomorrow we have two sessions, with a Native American theme. Our guest speaker is from 7 Generations Intertribal Council from right here in Solano County.
3-3:30pm Native American read aloud (geared towards TK-2 but all are welcome)
3:30-4pm Conversation about Indigenous culture in today's world (geared toward grades 3-5)
Zoom info for both:

Meeting ID: 861 6952 3563
Passcode: MTEIW2021
*Reminder: Art kits can be picked up in front of the school next to the main office, for the dragon art project we'll do on Wednesday. In addition to the kit you will need a toilet paper roll, glue, glue gun, scissors, and pencil.
