It is time for the Matthew Turner Elementary One School One Book program! In-person students will receive their books and materials on Monday, April 19, 2021. Virtual students may pick up their materials and books from the bins outside the office beginning after lunch on Monday. Please watch for more information from your teachers and the PTA as we begin this month-long adventure!

The 2021/2022 PTA Board Elections are coming up and will take place during our General Meeting on March 17th at 6pm via Zoom (link to be released closer to meeting date). The following are the candidates running for positions : President-Kate Munn VP Fundraising- Kim Macenski VP Membership- Gigi Villanueva VP Programs- Tamara Small Treasurer- Cayla Northrup Outreach- Randy Villanueva Historian- Kristina Behnam Secretary- Nicole Newton Communications- Jaclyn Prebula Auditor- Bret Prebula Additional candidates may run for any board position if they have been a current PTA member in good standing for 30 days prior to the election. They may nominate themselves from the floor at the election meeting during the allotted time. Ballots will be available the night of the Election Meeting ONLY. Members who wish to vote must be in attendance at the election meeting. Only PTA members in good standing for at least 30 days prior to the meeting will receive a ballot and be eligible to vote. Members will check in using the chat box at the beginning of the meeting so that eligibility to vote can be verified. Once they are verified as a member in good standing from the membership list, they will receive a ballot. No proxy votes allowed. Current candidates will be listed on the ballot. If another verified member(s) should nominate themselves to run for a position during the meeting, members will write their name in on the ballot under the appropriate board position they are running for. Final reminder: applications for the 2021-22 PTA board are due today. The attached document has links to job descriptions, 3 application questions and the email address to submit your application.
