International Night 2020 planning is underway but we need some help. We are seeking volunteers to host country tables, to showcase a country of their choice We also need cultural performers, so if you, your child, or someone you know, performs cultural dance, plays an instrument, sings, etc. we would love to have you in the program! The event is on Jan 10, 2020 from 6-8pm. Please contact Gigi Villanueva at gigi330@gmail.com, for further info or if you have any questions.
Dear Turner Families,
As a district, we are recognizing and supporting World Unity Day on Wednesday October 23. During this day it would be great if everyone could wear orange or something orange to show we are together against bullying and UNITED for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. This day is important and also supports Turner’s vision of creating a space where everyone feels they belong. Students and staff are being asked to unite and wear something orange (a shirt, bracelet, ribbon, pants, shorts, socks, shoes, etc).. Here is a link for more information on Unity Day. https://www.pacer.org/bullying/nbpm/unity-day.asp Do you need help with back to school? Are transitions hard for your kids? THANK YOU Turner families for another successful Fun Run! It looks like we may have exceeded our goal, but we will share the grand total next week, so stay tuned! For now, know that the PTA appreciates you, your commitment and passion for our school, and together we make amazing things happen for our kids.
A very special THANK YOU goes out to Jaclyn Perdigao Prebula and family for their generous donation of all the cute Fun Run shirts that every student received. You guys are the best!! |
